Privacy policy

Last updated October 24, 2026.

In short: there is no sign-up, the microphone sound is analysed on your device and never leaves it, and your preferences stay in your browser. Ads and visit statistics come from Google, which uses cookies.

Who we are

MetronoTuner (metronotuner.com) is a Scale Learning Group project. Privacy questions: contato@metronotuner.com.

Microphone

The tuner, the singing exercises, the games and chord recognition analyse sound in real time, on your device. Nothing is recorded, sent or stored: not your voice, not your instrument. The microphone only turns on after you tap the button and grant the permission your browser asks for.

What stays on your device

Language, theme, instrument, tuning, time signature, your vocal range and your game scores are kept in your browser’s storage for your next visit. None of it reaches us. To delete it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

Shared links

When you share a backing-track song or a game challenge, what is in the song (chords, tempo) and the name and score you typed travel inside the link itself. Only people who receive the link can see them.

Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to learn which pages are visited, from what kind of device and from which country, always as aggregate numbers. It uses cookies and is operated by Google.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The site is free because it shows Google AdSense ads.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Europe, the UK and Switzerland

There, no advertising or statistics cookies are used before you answer Google’s consent message. You can change your choice at any time.

Your rights

Since there is no sign-up, we keep no data that identifies you. Advertising and statistics data stay with Google: to see or delete them, use the tools in your Google Account. For any other request, including under the GDPR or Brazil’s LGPD, write to contato@metronotuner.com.
