Practice log

The practice log adds up, by itself, the time the metronome is playing, on any metronome page: today, over the last 7 days and your streak of days in a row. It also keeps the highest BPM you reached in the speed trainer. Everything stays on this device; nothing goes to a server.

Counts the time the metronome is playing, on any metronome page. It stays on this device only: nothing is sent anywhere.

What counts

It counts the time the sound is on, in any mode: normal, speed, muted bars or polyrhythm (silent bars count too, you are still playing). A day joins the streak with at least 1 minute. The streak holds until the end of the day: if you practised yesterday and not yet today, it is still there.

On this device only

The log is stored in the browser, on this device, and is not sent anywhere. So on another device or browser it starts from zero, and clearing the browser data erases it too. The “Reset log” button erases it at once.

Frequently asked questions

Is the log sent to a server?

No. It stays in the browser on this device. There is no account and no login.

Does it count time with the metronome stopped?

No: it only counts while the metronome is playing. If you play without a click, turn on muted bars: the time counts and the click still checks your tempo now and then.

Why didn’t my record change?

The record is the highest BPM that played in the speed trainer. Playing fast in normal mode does not count, so the number measures the climb you made in the trainer.
