Hold the note
Listen to the note and hold it. The timer runs while your voice stays within 30 cents of the note; a short wobble is forgiven, but if your voice leaves the note for more than 0.4 seconds, it’s over. The limit is 30 seconds.

Who’s playing?
One at a time: on each person’s turn, pass the phone.
Up to 8 players per game.
Everyone sings in their own range: the notes move up or down to fit the singer’s voice, so low and high voices compete on equal terms.
Sing a comfortable note
An easy “ah”, as if you were speaking in song. Hold it until the bar fills up.

How to play
- Type in everyone’s name and choose each voice: a profile, the saved range or “sing a note” to calibrate on the spot.
- On your turn, listen to the note and sing it on a vowel, no rush: the timer starts when your voice reaches the note.
- Hold it at a steady volume. When your voice leaves the note, the timer stops. Whoever holds it longest wins.
How it scores
What counts is the time, in seconds, from the first in-tune reading (within 30 cents of the target, or on the same note an octave higher or lower) until your voice leaves the note for more than 0.4 seconds. The limit is 30 seconds. Anyone who doesn’t reach the note within 8 seconds scores zero.
Frequently asked questions
How can I hold a note for longer?
Take a deep breath first, filling your belly, and let the air out slowly. Sing more quietly than you think you need to: a loud voice burns through your air quickly.
Why does my voice go flat at the end of the note?
When you run out of air, the pressure drops and the note tends to drop with it. That’s exactly what this game trains: keeping your support to the end.
Does vibrato count as out of tune?
A light vibrato fits within the 30-cent tolerance. A wide vibrato may slip out: a short wobble is forgiven, but if your voice stays off for more than 0.4 seconds the timer stops.
